FRUITY FROYO

I can't believe I haven't posted this yet. FRUITY FROYO at PETRON (2nd floor)! (near Miriam and Ateneo) :D

I had no idea there would be such heavenly food in a gas station! Thank God for my lakwatsera adventurous friends who brought me there about a week ago! :)) There are plenty of toppings and yogurt flavors to choose from! :3 I think they charge you P18 per ounce...which is why I brought my own toppings (oreo!) the 2nd time we went there :))

So if you want to avoid what I did the 1st time (emptied my wallet and had to borrow money from my friend because they don't accept cards), it would be wise to tame yourself before charging to the yogurt machines and toppings galore.  Bringing your own topping helps too. :) I think I spent P250++ the first time I went there (because of the 2nd serving) XD

Remember: yogurt is good for you...in moderation. :) Also, people who are lactose intolerant can indulge in this yummy treat instead of ice cream :)

 "I WANT MORE FRUITY FROYO!"
xoxo, Ange :)

Recorded Poetry for Relaxation

Some people find it relaxing to do some light reading after a hard day's work, or read literary pieces just for leisure. But wouldn't it be even cooler to WATCH people performing poetry? You don't have to go to a fancy restobar just to watch someone perform it live. There's a way to unwind with performance poetry from your home.

Deff Jam Poetry is a performance poetry show aired on the Home Box Office channel, but it's only shown in the USA. But not to worry, every performance on the show is posted on YouTube (www.youtube.com). Performances are mostly from non-celebrity personalities, though some familiar faces make appearances on the show. Deff Jam Poetry videos are sure to inspire you about poetry and they're bound to make you feel more soothed. The performers are really dedicated to what they're saying, and they're put on the show for the obvious reason that they're very talented with performance poetry.

So if you're stressed over something big and need a second or two away from all the work, try relaxing yourself by watching poetry as it comes to life. Just type in "Deff Jam Poetry" in the YouTube search bar, and loads of results will appear. Just take a pick on which poem you want to watch, and your break from all the stress will be worth it.

Yellow Cab Ice Cream

Almost everyone knows that Yellow Cab serves one of the best pizzas in the world. Many pizza enthusiasts have praised yellow cab for its great tasting pizzas like "Manhattan Meat Lovers" and "Dear Darla". But, when you let your eyes browse on the "Extras" part of their menu, you would see something different, something that is very far away from pizza: ICE CREAM.

Image taken from philstar.com

For P95, Yellow Cab's 1/2 pint ice cream comes in four scrumptious flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, and Pistachio. It has a remarkable taste. It's creamy, sweet, but not in a level that will make your throat itchy and dry. It would make you crave for more, but it's something that you wouldn't want to eat every day. It's yummy, yes, but an overdose of it would make you numb to the richness of the flavor of Yellow Cab's Ice Cream.

When you visit Yellow Cab next time, make sure to try out their ice cream. I'm sure that you won't waste your P95 for nothing.

Swing and a Hit!( Eastridge Golf Club)

So it’s a Saturday morning.  Everything’s peaceful, no stress, no school, no work, (well for most of us). It’ definitely a Saturday! Its free time! It’s our day! So how do you spend it? You could go to your usual mall, eat at your favorite restaurant, watch a movie, and go to parties. But why not try something different? Get your clubs, your cap, and Play Golf!!

Though golf may seem boring and difficult to learn for some, but its really fun once, you get the hang of it. (Definitely addicting!). You don’t have to be like Tiger Woods to play.  Often beginners get frustrated at their first try (just like me), but patience is the key. I mean c’mon how hard is it to swing and hit a ball right? (Not that easy!) But when you get that one perfect swing and hit, it makes everything just feel so right and natural, that’s when you’re hooked! It’s a unique thrill. Your going to keep craving for; that feeling of releasing stress and tension by just hitting that dimpled ball!

One of the best golf courses to play in Metro Manila is “Eastrigde Golf Club.” It’s a par 72, 18-hole championship golf course located in Binangonan, Rizal. It’s a unique golf course in Metro Manila, because not a lot of courses around here are settled on a mountain. The thing that I like most about this golf course is that it gives you a unique spectacular birds eye view of Laguna de Bay, Makati skyline, and Ortigas skyline. Everywhere you look, its picture perfect. It’s such a stress reliever. You feel as though you’re away from everything.

Eastridge also offers all the amenities you would need when playing golf. The main clubhouse has a restaurant, poker rooms, cocktail lounge, sauna rooms, and very nice locker rooms. There are also two break houses strategically located around the golf course for those players who need a break.

Before playing golf, I would suggest calling for a reservation to make sure you get a tee-off slot.  Also I would recommend bringing sun block, because you definitely are going to be extremely exposed to the sun.

So if your bored and you want to try something new and different.  Play Golf!!!

Politics and Popularity

Villar's new jingle

Manny Villar...has annoying amusing jingles/commercials. The first I heard was the "Akala mo [insert slang here], yun pala [insert negation here]". To be honest, I don't know what petiks and trapo mean. It just sounds funny to me. and I like funny. But we have to remember being funny doesn't erase poverty and corruption in the Philippines. Otherwise comedians would be running the country.

As if the "Akala Mo" song wasn't enough, Villar came up with another jinggle that always plays during commercial breaks (perhaps 3 times each break) emphasizing that because he was poor he can end the hardships of poor people. BULLSHT. No offence, but you have to bring something MORE to the table if you want me to believe you can make the Philippines better for all of us. Hmmm..maybe like an outstanding track record like Senator RICHARD "Dick" GORDON or an impressive educational background like Gibo. (I'm obviously on Gordon's side) XD

In case you're wondering, here's the lyrics to Manny Villar's jingle song:

Naging Mahirap

At kanyang plano'y magka-bahay tayo?

Si Villar ang tunay na mahirap.
si Villar ang tunay na may malasakit.
Si Villar ang may kakayahan
At gumawa ng sariling pangalan.

Si Manny Villar ang magtatapos
ng ating kahirapan.*

Disclaimer: This is not an endorsement.

*well, good luck with that Manny!

Good night/morning everyone! Have a good night's rest. :)

xoxo, Ange. :)
